Who Are We?

So glad you asked! We are a group of Bible students with a common love for God and common hope in the fulfillment of his plan. We have these most important things in common and aside from that, we are all very different!

Some of us are old, some are young, some are in between. We are athletes and couch potatoes, thrill-seekers and homebodies. We come from all areas of this country and others. We are single, we are couples, we are parents, we are grandchildren, we are friends..

If you want to learn more about God... if you want to serve Him and be more like Jesus.... you might be just like us!

What denomination is Church of the Blessed Hope?

Our beliefs are firmly established in the Bible. We have deliberately attempted to get back to the faith and character of the early Christian church, and we've been in existence for over 150 years. We hold virtually identical beliefs with another group of believers known as the Christadelphians and we consider the worldwide body of Christadelphians to be our brothers and sisters in Christ. The name 'Christadelphian' means "Brother in Christ."  We are not affiliated with the "General Conference" Church of God.

Where Are We Found?

We are located throughout the world. Like the early Christians, we sometimes meet in homes, rented rooms, and in some cases, our own halls and church buildings.
(Acts 1:13; 2:46; 18:7; 19:9; 28:30)

How Are We Organized?

Our church community is patterned after first century Christianity. We consider our members to be brothers and sisters, and we all share the responsibility for the welfare of our church. Our common beliefs bind us together as a family.
(Matthew 23:8-12; Romans 12:4-6; 16:1; 1 Corinthians 12:4-27; Galatians 3:28)

What Kind of Life Do We Lead?

God's Way of salvation gives effective direction to our lives. We try to rely fully upon God and develop a faith that is active in prayer and good works. At the same time, however, we recognize that salvation is by grace.
(1 Corinthians 1:3-11; 1 Peter 2:1-5; 2 Peter 1:5-11; James 2:17,5:16; Ephesians 2:5-10)

We seek to please and obey God every day, striving to imitate Christ who faithfully obeyed his Father and unselfishly gave himself for mankind.
(Philippians 2:13, 4:13; Ephesians 3:20; Philippians 2:1-5; Rom 12:1-2; Ephesians 5:1-2)

We therefore endeavor to be enthusiastic in work, loyal in marriage, generous in giving, dedicated in preaching, cheerful in living, and happy in our God.
(Ephesians 6:6-8; 1 Thessalonians 4:1-8; 2 Corinthians 9; 2 Timothy 4:1-5; John 16:33; Matthew 5:1-16; Philippians 4:4-7)
